General Race Information Purse/Payoff: 1. All winnings for all events will be paid by check in the Round Up Tent after each series is completed during the weekend. 2. In the event a driver does not pick up his/her money during the event, all purse will be mailed within 86 hours. 3. Contingencies and other special awards:
Please see the insert or posted bulletins in inspection station for posted contingency awards and special awards. Pole awards, hard charger, rookie and other special postings will be paid direct to the driver in pre or post-event ceremonies. Most contingency awards will be mailed to the team or driver by either DIRTcar or the company posting the award.
Results and Post Event Info: 1. Results for events, once official, will be posted at the inspection station/line-up board and the Round Up Tent. Please feel free to review official
results. We strive to provide hard copies of pertinent race results, timing and scoring and other items. However, please only take what you need.
Misc. Info: 1. A mandatory driver’s meeting will be scheduled for each division each day. It is the responsibility of the participant to be present for the
meeting. Absence could result in penalty by DIRTcar officials.
2. All events are conducted by DIRTcar officials and the DIRTcar General Rules and Specifications. The decisions of management are final.
3. FUEL: Fuel and Alcohol will be available from vendor at the track. 4. TIRES: Impressive Race Supplies/I55 Track Support Inc Hoosier Tire compound is located adjacent to the pit area on manufacturer’s row. Most required tires will be available for your events. If you have specific needs call in advance to reserve. The tire rules for the weekend are as follows:
DIRTcar Late Models: LM8811 M20, M30, M40 LM9011 M20, M30, M40 LM9211 M20, M30, M40 UMP DIRTcar Modifieds: SCL 26.5/8.0 D40, A40 SCL 27.5/8.0 D40, A40, H40 Pro Late Models: LM40 Compound DIRTcar Sportsman: Limited Modifieds: SCL 26.5/8.0 A40 SCL 27.5/8.0 A40 Stock Cars: SCL 26.5/8.0 D40, A40 SCL 27.5/8.0 D40, A40, H40 Factory Stocks: Any Street DOT tire, or Hoosier A or H tire 4 Cylinder/Sport Compact: Any Street DOT tire (see rules) You will be responsible for disposing of your used tires. Tires will be marked. 5. Raceceiver One-Way radios and AMB-It Transponders are mandatory for all classes Factory Stocks and 4 Cylinder/Sport Compacts. Please be certain you and your car are equipped with each any time you go on the racetrack. Raceceivers are highly recommended for all classes.
Units are included in entry of mandatory divisions, except for ear buds.Units are available at the registration center or from the vendor in Manufactures row. Please be aware, if you need devices, you will be required to leave your driver’s license in exchange until the unit is returned.
One Raceceiver and transponder rental is included with entry. (ear buds not included) The one-way frequency is 454.000.
6. FM Broadcast:
DIRTcar Announcers will be broadcast on FM radio channel 90.1 Feel free to listen to event play-by-play by announcers.
7. Two-Way Radio Transmission: 151.625 throughout the week.
8. Waste Oil:
Please dispose of waste oil in the supplied waste oil tank located in the pit area near the maintenance area.
9. Schedule:
We will make every effort to stay on the schedule as it appears in this booklet. However, as we all know we are racing in October and deviations to the schedule are a strong possibility. Changes to the schedule will be reported at the inspection station and the Round Up Tent. Please be aware, the rain-date is Sunday.
10. Pit operation area between the hours of 10 pm and 9 am. Teams with crew staying in their toter-homes will be able to enter the pit area on foot only after 10 pm.
11. Round Up Autograph Session: There will be a mandatory autograph signing on Saturday at 4PM in the Round Up Tent. Each of the Friday event winners are required to attend. Failure to do so could result in that driver starting at the rear of the starting field. All other drivers are invited to attend. We recommend you bring hero cards or handouts.
12. All drivers must possess a valid 2010 DIRTcar license or single event permit. Single Event License, if needed, is available for $20.
Pit Area Rules • Alcoholic beverages are not allowed in the pit area. • Personal vehicles are not allowed in the pit area. Four-wheelers and golf carts and all motorized carts and (One permit included in entry)
• Vending of anything is not allowed without the
permission of DIRTcar management.
• Open flames are not allowed in the pit area. • Anyone under age 18 must have a minor’s release on file. Pit fee applies to all persons regardless of age or
duties.
• Full food concessions will be available • Your wristband will allow you admission to the
grandstand.
• We are not responsible for the loss or damage of your
property.
General Race Procedures
1. Original Start – front row fires out of turn 4 at cone. Cars should fire together. 2. ORIGINAL START CAUTIONS: a. FIRST START: realign in original position unless leave race surface. b. SECOND START CAUTION: All cars involved in the caution (caused) will
tag field, field will move straight up.
c. THIRD START CAUTION: All cars involved in the caution (caused) will
tag field. Balance will revert to previous line-up single file.
2. ONE LAP IS COMPLETE, CAUTION OR RED, field will revert to last completed lap. Cars involved will tag the field. 3. Drawing a caution will be automatic disqualification from that race. 4. "Spin and you’re in" rule will be in effect for spins in the opinion of the officials
that draw a caution to avoid being lapped or to stop the event. "Two spins and you’re in" will be in effect
5. Restarts – are at the cone out of turn #4 (same spot as original start). No passing until you pass the cone. Do not pull out of line. Penalty: Driver may be
penalized two cars for each one passed.
6. All races will be started and restarted double file until one half of the scheduled
laps are complete. If any race has more than three cautions on any lap, single file restarts will be used.
7. Passing flag will be displayed 8. Lapped cars will be directed by the one-way radio to fall to the rear of the field with ten laps or less when a yellow flag is displayed.
9. Cars breaking may exit the track at any pit entrance/exit. 10. When the yellow flag is displayed cars must hold their position. Any car passing after the caution and not giving those spots back immediately may be penalized. Pace car will pick the field up on the front or backstretch. 11. All races will be staged in the infield. Be prepared several places in advance to
pre-stage. Back gate may open for exit only following each event.
12. "Locked In" cars may participate each night to improve start position.
